Whizz, whizz, whizz, it’s September
Back to school, berries and harvest festivals. Nil desperandum, there’s lots of things to do and a good chance of lovely weather to do them in.
We have some information about the Heritage Open Days festival. There are over 50 events in Brighton, so that could be a very busy 4 days!
There is a Bins Update inside, this is crunch month apparently…
We also have news from ‘Another London Road’. This is a group of local people who are so alarmed by a proposal ‘regenerating’ London Road they have formed a group. They had a public meeting on 22nd July to gather local people’s ideas for the area and are busy collating these at present. They plan to have another public meeting in the autumn to present progress to date. Schemes on this kind of scale have far reaching effects, new rat runs etc. We will try keep you informed of their meetings, thoughts etc, especially as this could have drastic effects on traffic at the Dials. We also have information about how to join a very interesting national group called Living Streets, join up. Let’s make it a force to be reckoned with in Brighton.
That aside – ‘tis time to go and bring in ye olde harvest…
